The Work

The work on the farm is varied and generally orientated towards manual tasks. Here is a small playlist of our recent helpers working on our farm. Please ask any questions you may have regarding the work undertaken with us on our farm. We are always happy to explain any aspect in more detail.

Availability

This is a general calendar (iCal link). In any case, no matter what the calendar below states, we always ask that you contact us to check availability. We also like to accommodate any requests where possible.

Getting To Us

Our farm is situated near an interdepartmental highway. Arriving at the farm is relatively easy from Bogotá and many other cities across Colombia. The journey to our farm should only be made once you have explicit confirmation of your stay from us. Below is a map detailing multiple transport options and important places around our farm and nearby town. But more detailed instructions can be provided in our communications.

What Else?

Our farm has some idyllic views across the region and some nice walks. We do work hard but there is also more than plenty of time to go on adventures nearby.  The road by our farm takes you easily to a great selection of nearby towns (Sasaima, Guaduas and Honda) all have a historical colonial past with blissful weather as well. Take a look at our map and click on the Nearby Towns category, all of which make a fine day trip or even overnight adventures from our farm. We are more than happy to show you around our nearest town of Villeta one morning. The Town Square, old station and railway, as well as a beautiful series of waterfalls where you can take a quick swim to cool down are all nice places of interest here.

We are in contact with two of our nearest hosting farms which we are happy to recommend. They would be great alternatives to us in our general area when we are booked out or otherwise unable to host you.

Thank you all so much. We’ll always remember our time at the farm. How welcome you all made us feel. Quite frankly, neither of us can imagine a better WWOOF experience. Everything truly exceeded our wildest expectations – the food, the friendliness and the fun we had getting yo know you all. Can’t thank you enough, Gabe and Leland

I stayed at this beautiful farm for 3 weeks and it was by no means enough! I had so much fun taking care of the hens and chopping wood! The job is quite easy, you just need to cut weeds with a machete in the morning and enjoy the afternoon as you like, the weekends are busier though, helping with construction or sowing plants or just overall farm maintenance is to be expected. I was hosted kindly and the farm itself is comfortable, I totally recommend volunteering here!

I had an amazing experience at the farm. The work was exhausting but was a lot of fun. The farm is very rural and you have a nice view. The people were all very nice and I learned a lot about the Colombian culture.

    Hello from Chicago!

Our friends and family love hearing about our experience at Finca Varsovia, and we love telling them about it! Your whole family was very welcoming and we had a great time. We enjoyed sharing the yummy meals, drinking hot panela, and becoming masters with the machete. We can’t wait to see the farm back in action..it’s a great place!

    Love,
    KC and Cole
